The Ann DeVeaux Brand began in 2017 as a fashion Boutique for curvy fashionistas. Although we did very well meeting the fashion needs of curvy girls everywhere, we felt a void in the area of doing good. That strong desire to help meet the needs of vulnerable populations resulted in what Ann DeVeaux is today - a social enterprise that does well WHILE doing good! Through her membership with and training regarding human trafficking via The Junior League of Nashville, creator & owner Dr. April, became involved with assisting victims, survivors and organizations that support them.
Dr. April is an entrepreneur, medial practice owner, physician, and motivator. She's been uplifting, encouraging and inspiring others for over 2 decades and is now turning some of those words into wearable art - pieces that inspire and invest in the well-being of others.
Every Ann DeVeaux purchase provides feminine hygiene products & monetary support to victims of sex slavery & trafficking. Sex slavery & trafficking still exists in this country and all over the world.
Sex slavery and trafficking is the 2nd largest and fastest growing crime in the world (2nd only to #1 drug trafficking).
The average age of entry into sex trafficking is just 13 y/o. 80% of the victims are female. 50% of the victims are children. 2 children are trafficked every minute.
Every purchase makes an impact and supports trafficking victims.
"The name Ann DeVeaux is inspired by my glamorous Grandmother & my beautiful & philanthropic mother. My grandmother never left the house without looking fabulous. She wore the most amazing jewelry, hats, fascinators, and dresses! Her pieces were timeless, elegant, stunning. She was the definition of the Coco Chanel quote, “A woman should be two things: classy and fabulous”!
My mother is one of the most generous women on the face of this planet. My heart for philanthropy comes directly from her. She consistently gives her her time, talent and money to several causes directly helping women and children in need. Because of her, service to others has never been optional in our family, it's in our very DNA and is at the root of who I am.
I’m so blessed to have them both as my muse."
